LITHONIA HOMESCHOOL GROUP SCHOLARS
ESTABLISHED 2008
For almost 20 years, Lithonia Homeschool Group Scholars has been more than a school—we've been a community.
Our mission is simple: to provide a rigorous, supportive academic home where every student is challenged to think deeply, work hard, and grow boldly. We believe success is not measured by test scores alone, but by character, resilience, and a genuine love of learning.
What sets us apart? We don't just teach—we mentor. Our educators build meaningful relationships with every student, guiding them not only academically but personally. We know each child's strengths, struggles, and aspirations, and we walk alongside them as they grow into confident, capable young adults.
Whether your child is an advanced learner ready for AP-level work or a student who thrives with a more flexible, independent approach, we have a place for you. We welcome all types of learners who share our values of curiosity, effort, and respect.
This year, we are proud to announce a new chapter: we now offer AP Georgia Standards of Excellence coursework for advance learners.
We are currently accepting applications for the 2026–2027 school year. If you're looking for a school that sees your child as a whole person, not just a test score, we invite you to join us. .
Andrea came to us with a quiet determination and a heart for helping others. Today, she is pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Nursing—and we have no doubt she will touch countless lives. Andrea, you are proof that with hard work and the right support, anything is possible. We are so proud of you!
Meet Erin. From the moment she enrolled, she championed the power of deep, independent focus. Headphones on or off, she modeled this habit and encouraged her classmates to do the same—raising the bar for classwork success across the board.
At Lithonia Homeschool Group Scholars, we understand that every young mind needs room to breathe. Beyond our collaborative projects and lively discussions, we intentionally provide private time and personal space for students to dive deep into assignments or simply enjoy a moment of quiet free time. This balance is essential for fostering both intellectual focus and personal well-being.
Meet Brooklyn While excelling in her studies with us, Brooklyn also embraced every opportunity to get involved in her community. She was a cheerleader for the local middle school AND took acting classes, truly doing it all!
Her success is a perfect example of how homeschool students get the best of both worlds: a personalized education and the chance to participate in local school extracurriculars.
Way to go, Brooklyn! Your passion and drive are an inspiration! 👏
2013-2014 LHGS Students
At our homeschool, the world is our classroom. Lessons come to life in the sunshine, and lunch is served with a side of fresh air. We know that a change of scenery does more than just refresh—it ignites a passion for learning in a way that a desk alone never could.
Meet Jailore 2016 Scholar When Jailore joined our homeschool, her mother had a clear mission: focus intensely on tailoring her daughter's academic path in math and reading. We were proud to partner with her family on this journey through our customized "Brilliant Path" program.
We dedicated ourselves to this tailored approach, strengthening Jailore's core skills with precision and care. After two years with us, she transitioned back into the traditional school system with confidence.
The results spoke volumes. After just two weeks, her new teacher contacted her mother on a private line. The message was clear: Jailore was so academically advanced that she was no longer being challenged. The teacher explicitly recommended finding a school that could keep up with her accelerated pace.
Jailore's story is a perfect example of how we prepare students for a seamless and successful return to any school environment—often placing them significantly ahead of the curve.
Meet Kenzo ( to the left ) Kenzo's journey with LHGS began in 4th grade within our "Brilliant Path" program. After building a strong academic foundation through middle school, he seamlessly transitioned to high school, where his achievements earned him a coveted spot in the school's Magnet Program for high achievers. We are proud to have been part of his educational foundation and celebrate his continued success.
Meet Myra ( to the left ) MYRA's potential was clear from her very first year with us in the 4th grade. Her performance was so outstanding that we accelerated her learning path, moving her directly to the 6th grade!
After a stellar year with us, she transitioned back to her local school, where the foundation she built wiyh us continues to serve her well. We've just heard she is absolutely thriving as an 8th grader!
Congratulations, MYRA! Your hard work and brilliance continue to shine.
Our Annual Trip to Clark Atlanta University’s Homecoming Celebration
At Lithonia Homeschool Group Scholars, a lesson on percentages isn't confined to a textbook. It ends with a field trip to a local restaurant, where our students calculate the tip on a real bill. This is learning you can taste, touch, and apply in the real world.
The Rising Phoenix - LHGS MASCOT
From a library to our own facility—our journey has been one of resilience, growth, and transformation. The phoenix symbolizes our commitment to rising higher, overcoming challenges, and helping every student reach their full potential.
At Lithonia Homeschool Group Scholars, We Don't Just Teach Grade Levels—We Unlock Potential………………………………………………
Meet Ava, Ava joined us as a young learner with a bright mind. Within two years, she had grown so much that she skipped a grade. When her parents enrolled her in a magnet school, she was so far ahead that after just one week, they asked her to skip again.
At Lithonia Scholars, we don't hold students back. We help them soar.
Meet Ronnie Ronnie's story is a testament to the lifelong love of learning we foster at Lithonia Homeschool Group Scholars. From his time with us as an 8th grader, Ronnie was a shining example of curiosity and kindness. He wasn't just an avid reader and learner; he was a mentor and the perfect, supportive classmate to his younger peers, embodying the collaborative spirit of our small community.
After graduating from our homeschool in 2023, Ronnie took his well-honed passion for learning to Middle Georgia State University. The transition was seamless, and his success was immediate.
We are incredibly proud to share that Ronnie has not only thrived in his university environment but has excelled academically, making the Dean's List both his freshman and sophomore years.
Ronnie's journey from our cozy couches to collegiate excellence shows that a Lithonia Scholars education isn't just about grades—it's about building the foundational skills, discipline, and intellectual curiosity that lead to lasting success.
At Lithonia Scholars, we don't just talk about college—we bring it to life. Each year, our students get a thrilling, firsthand look at their future during our annual trip to the Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University Homecoming.
