Lithonia Homeschool Group Scholars was founded in 2003 to offer educational resources for Metro Atlanta families. While preparing for the LSAT, I worked as a substitute teacher for the Atlanta Public Schools System. I noticed a troubling lack of discipline and enthusiasm among students, with many showing disrespect and disruptions, often going unaddressed. Rather than just voicing my concerns, I decided to take action by establishing my own educational institution. With a degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University and experience in teaching, I was inspired to pursue my dream of opening a school. My background in coaching youth sports helped ease my transition into education, allowing me to fulfill my passion for providing families an alternative to traditional public schooling. I took action. The results from my action was the creation of Lithonia Homeschool Group Scholars.
